I wonder if John is a member?Does he visit the Forum? I cannot recall him posting.
I have been listening to several CD's of his again tonight and I can only find one word to describe his music.....PERFECTION.
Thank you John or being so soulful.

Ron,
I have met Ricky several times when he was in Scotland and I spoke again to him in Dallas in March.I do consider him to be a great and tasteful steel player.
My remark was meant as a compliment to him and I think Ricky would have let me know if he had taken it any other way.
Sorry for the misunderstanding
Perhaps someday I will be as good as someone.
Best regards
Billy

Thanks Billy and Ron; I am humbled by your Kind words and support.
I'll never be where the Great John Hughey is; as he's in a World of his Own. Best I can do is carry along the great influence He has given us and continue down the Golden Road he has Paved for us.

I am only 16 years old and none of my friends know what a steel guitar is so when they ask me what it is I show them one of his CDs because he is the best I have heard. Everytime I listen to Look At Us I get chills.

Hey Ryan, it happened to me at age 14. I'm 47 now and still a Hughey fan. Just wait until you get a chance to sit down and watch him play live. HE'S ALSO A SUPER NICE GUY.

And I can say that John and Ms. Jean are personal friends of mine! What a privilage that is for me. Also John is the undisputed Master of the Famous Bar Shiver that is heard on so many of Conway Twitty's Recordings.
