My buddy -- CORKY OWENS. Gene Watson puts on a great classy show and Corky is such a super person and super steel player. Corky enjoys meeting people so be certain to visit with him at the show. |

Bill,
Do you know how I could get in touch with Corky Owens? Do you think I would be able to meet him and talk with before or after the show? I am a big Gene Watson fan and even more of a fan of the steel work that is done on Gene's songs. It would be a great honor to meet Mr. Owens. Thank you Bill and Billy.

Well...I know Corky always enjoys talking with "his" fans who love steel. He's not hard to talk to or to meet for that matter and he'll give you some of his time. Corky is a great guy and appreciates people.

Lyle...just email me your telephone number...Corky are either talking on the old phone; getting together every other day to pick and grin at my home or going to hear some steel player...I will make sure he gets it for you...again, Corky is one heck of a great person and steel player...Bill

Just to add my two cents, Corky is every bit that has been stated here and more! Great picker and a very humble person. They put on a fantastic show and Gene's voice is as great as it has ever been.
