Does anyone know who would have been playing steel for Hank Jr. in July of 1971. I met him at a fair in Carlye Illinois. He was playing a Emmons, rosewood I believe. He and his steel were the first up close contact I had with a pedal steel. He turned me on to Scotty's Music. I always wondered who this guy was.

I have to believe it was George Edwards but I thought he had a Sho-Bud. I replaced the guy that replaced George when he went to Nashville. After Hank Jr. George worked with Chief Thundercloud I think-probably mid 70's

If I'm not mistaken, Dave Musgrave worked for Hank Jr. sometime in the early 70's.

It was most certainly George Edwards...I remember it well. I was working with Dick Curless (the Baron of Country Music, who was recording for Capitol at the time). We did a show in Lexington KY long about '73, and were with Hank Jr. & George Morgan (Little Roy Wiggins on Steel). George was playing a Sho-Bud at the time. HAL
