Larry,
I couldn't agree more. He is absolutely the best "fake" when it comes to pick ups and being a nice person. !!!!

I told Jerry how my new Mullen sounded through my amp, and how I wanted it to sound like after a pick-up rewind. He worked up a custom re-wind on my stock pick-up to my exact satisfaction. Fast service, highest quality workmanship, and very reasonable rates. I'm impressed!!! |

I've got to chime in too....Jerry rewound the bass pickup for my Gibson Console Grand.
The rewind was a perfect match both in appearance, electrical specifications, and performance.
Can't say enough about Jerry and his craftsmanship.

I'm sure hopin' you guys are right (not that he's a fake but that his pickups are too good to be true)
Some folks whose opinions I really trust talk about JW like he walks on water every morning before breakfast. That true, Jerry???? :-)

I have a big complaint about Jerry. Back in December I sent him a Mullen pickup to rewind and he had the audacity to take a whole week off at Christmas before doing the job. A whole week! Just because his wife asked him to. Can you believe that?
What a great sounding pickup at a great price!

Well, I just received, installed, and had a rehearsal and a session with Jerry's pickup. It is now a permanent fixture in my new Fessy. Sounds great whether through an amp or studio board. I kinda warned the engineer that it was a single coil and he was thinking Tele. His response: WHAT NOISE? The response is much more even than any humbucker I've tried and the highs and high mids lost all the harshness I had with the L-712 it replaced.
I think the combination of the 'Two Jerrys' (Wallace and Fessenden) is a super match-up. Thanks Mark vanAllen, Mike Holland, and the others who convinced me to switch.
