I can't belive it!Somone else actuly likes the b-3 sound who also plays steel,Good,maybe
Mister Emmons will record with one and we'll
have some new material.

I played with a ton of B3, A100, and C3 players before I ever played the steel guitar and Joey Defrancesco is a force to be reckoned with. I've got a bunch of his stuff. I loved the sound of the organ but I have to admit I sure don't miss carrying them things around About 455 pounds give or take way or the other and the A 100's and C3's are more. We rolled one in the back yard of a club we were playing one night in the snow trying to get it in the back door. There were no steps and we had to lift it to the door about level with your nose. That old Hammond came to life when he hit the switch. The Hammonds are like the Emmons p/p's workhorses.

The XB around here list for about13,000 and thats way beyuond the buget for most and besides you can the Korg version for about
2,500or3,000 and still get that sound.

Herb Nice to hear Jimmy's still around and giggin. We be a bit out of touch down here. So maybe Curleys looking down and jamming anyway.

I grew up with a B3 in the house and the 6 foot Leslie just a great sound, in the right hands.
Next time I visit Chestnut Hill I will look up some good organ jazz.

This brings back memories. Back in the "70's I played in a band that had a wonderful keyboard player, Keith Kemp. He played piano, clavinet, and a B3 with two leslies. Two of my favorite songs that we did together, were Whiter shade of pale, and Country Comforts. Playing these two songs with him gave me shivers of delight.

Herb: My mistake,I thought you were talking about the full size hammon clone.While you
are right as rain about the sound,I'd still
need a gas guzzling van to carry my B2 aruond to all the gigs,wich is why I use a
Roland VK8clone.
