you can check out Billy Bobs at EuroDisney
Hotel Meridien for Jazz or Blues
get a Paris weekly event guide called "Pariscope"
look up Concerts or Musik Clubs
(i'm afraid you're not going to find much Country or Steelin' tho)
send Lionel Wendling an email askin'him if he knows of any good events
lionel.wendling@wanadoo.fr
Have a good trip and a good stay Anders

Hi Anders and Crowbear, thanks for this! I am the one going to Paris on Wednesday and I´ll be there 5 days. Billy Bob´s in Euro Disney ain´t Fort Worth, but it is worth to check it out. I´ll check the "Pariscope" too! I´ll not find my way up in the Eiffel Tower since I have been there several times. Í love the place but it is too much turists there this time of the year. Keep swinging!

Thanks everybody!
I actually expected both good advices and good jokes when I started this thread – actually on behalf of my buddy Janne Lindgren, who´s soon heading for Paris – and sure enough I got both! It´s amazing and very comforting to see that Forumites are so helpful to each others, also to non-American members.
By the way – Janne Lindgren is the one who´s done most and worked hardest for country music and steel guitar in Sweden; he deserve credit for that from us swedish country enthusiasts.

Hi - Only just saw this.... Everyone else has pretty much said what there is to say, but one place you could check out is the Utopia - a bar in the 15th arrondissement, which will be listed in your Pariscope - music is more often than not electric blues, but occasionally there is country. One other thing - at the "House of Live" (formerly Chesterfield Café) which is just off the Champs Elysées, I *believe* Ken Emerson is playing until next Saturday... I've never heard him, but I understand he plays Hawaiian steel (and blues). Could be worth checking out (I'm going to myself...)
Nick
P.S. Music in most Paris bars (including the above) doesn't even *start* until around 10:30 at night... Not too practical for those of us with day jobs... Image
