There are not many places in Pidgeon Forge to hear steel, however the "GREAT" Herby Wallace plays in a show 7 nights a week there.
You can contact him at "hwallac480@aol.com"
Have fun

The show isn't cheap (but then again, nothing there is), but if you like classic country music, check out the "Classic Country Theater", at traffic light #2 (Teaster Rd.). They have a steeler, and some really fabulous singers. |

They have a steel in the Smoky Mountain Jubilee, show, at least they always have. I have not been this year. I think his name is Gary McVeigh. He is a fine steel player and a great singer to boot. You might ask at the Country Tonight theater also. They used to have a steel. |

I play steel at Dollywood in the Dolly's Kinfolks Show and there is another steel player in Randy Parton's show at Dollywood. Larry Stewart also plays steel in one of the shows at Dollywood. [This message was edited by Stoney Stonecipher on 26 September 2002 at 01:09 PM.] |

Junior Mercer is playing steel at the Country Tonight theatre in Pigeon Forge. Junior is a great player and the guitar player, Tommy, is fantastic also. The whole band is great and so are the entertainers. |

Thanks for all of the info guys. I'll check those places out when we get there. I was hoping I would get to check out that 66 P/P that Herby had for sale, but, it sold already. It's probably for the best though. If I got my hands on it, I'd spend the whole weekend trying to sweet talk the wife into letting me buy it!
