Curly Chalker concert video
I still have the master of the 2 hour concert video that I edited in 1987. I can have more copies made at any time.
The technical quality of the video is terrible. The picture is blurred, and the sound is mono, but it's still 2 hours of Curly playing nonstop. (All the dead time between the songs was edited out.)
The video was taken from 2 concerts he did in December 1986. There is 75 minutes of footage from one, and 45 from the other. There is some duplication between the two concerts.
Those of you who want a copy, say so on this thread. In a couple of weeks, after everybody has signed up for one, I'll have as many made as people who sign up for one.
I don't know how much these will cost to have made, but I'm not looking to make a profit on this. I will sell them at my cost, plus postage.
PLEASE DO NOT E-MAIL ME ABOUT THIS. Keeping track of individual requests is a major hassle. Instead, sign up for a copy here, and then in 2 or 3 weeks, I'll have the copies made and take care of everybody all at the same time.
[This message was edited by Mike Perlowin on 25 August 2002 at 07:29 PM.]

It's a crying shame that we don't have more video of this monster player. He had some good exposure on Hee Haw and the old Wilburn Brothers show and some other TV shots. When Carl Smith came out with "I Love you Because", he was a guest on the old Bill Anderson show and Curly was with him and did some great stuff. That was about 1970 and I don't know whether those old shows even exist anymore but it sure would be great to get everything he was featured on. The stuff he and Jimmy Capps did on the Wilburns were great little one minute tunes that each traded leads on each show.
He was the likes of which we may never see again.
