Is it possible to transfer music from a music dvd onto a cd so the music can be listened to while driving?

If it can....would it take a special program or maybe something like a "dvd burner"?

My home computer has a dvd player and a cd burner and Windows Media Player....obviously the audio from the dvd would need to be loaded into the computer and then burned onto a cd....I'm just not sure how to do it or if my setup has all the tools to do it for me.

I appreciate the help anyone can provide.

Are you talking "legally" (with a copyrighted commercial DVD) or whatever?

There are some programs around that will rip sound from a DVD. Do a google search.

If your sound card has the "what you hear" (system mixer) capability you can record as you are playing the DVD.
