Outlook Express Renames Photos - Why?
I don't like sending photos as attachments to emails because a lot of people won't open them for security reasons so I insert them into the body of the email. For some reason, OE renames the photo files with some goofy label that makes no sense at all. Any ideas on how to stop this annoying little feature?
[This message was edited by Bill Bosler on 12 May 2006 at 05:52 PM.]

The problem here is that these are project photos for customers and most email systems in larger corporations will not allow attachments to be received. With OE changing the file names on the photos when they're included in the body of the email, it makes it difficult to identify the photos. It's just one of those really annoying little technology things.

If you have a web site or even a free photo site such as www.photobucket.com you can upload the pictures to the web or hosting site and then just give them a link in the message. They can retrieve the pictures as needed then.
