You need to 'host' your jpg. on a website somewhere there Miss Missy. In other words, you need to upload your pic to your website, or a friends, or whatever, and then you include a link to it here on the Forum.

Your Internet Service Provider probably has some capacity for you to create your own web page, even if it's just a blank page for you to load pictures or text. That's what I do. So, that gives you an address/URL that you can include in a post here on the Forum. That address/URL is then a clickable link to your page and specifically, to the particular pic that's loaded on your page.

Once you have the pic loaded onto your website, you then do the following:

http://www.blahblahblah/~missy'ssite/missy'spic1.jpg - or something like that. This provides a clickable link. OR, instead of [url], you can use Image and the pic will load automatically whenever anyone opens your post. (Note that there is no address or jpg called 'missy'spic', etc, so the blue link doesn't really go anywhere).

What I haven't mentioned is how you load your jpg up to your website. This is usually done with a FTP (file transfer protocol) program that is available in the public domain as freeware, or as shareware, etc. If you get that far, holler back and I'll provide some more info.

You get it?

OR, just holler at Lori, and she'll post it here using her own website for a nominal fee, I believe.

The Forum has a hosting service.... $1.00 per image per year. Visit our website at http://picturehost.net/ for details.

But if you don't wanna pay $1, you can get a free website at www.geocities.com or something, upload the image, and just put the address of the picture into UBB code. http://steelguitarforum.com/ubbcode.html

P.S. - I'm not trying to make you guys lose business, Lori.

Thanks - I already had the JPG hosted but couldn't remember the code to post it directly. Here - I'll try a test:

I deleted the picture. If you want to test, go to the testing section. I also see you posted it elsewhere anyway. Jack<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Jack Stoner on 18 March 2001 at 03:50 AM.]</p></FONT>
