ZB Fuzz Box

Post by Travis Kline »

I was curious if anybody's seen these around or has even heard of them. I remember seeing one online somewhere and was trying to find one to try it out. I think it was made by electro-harmonix and looked pretty much like a big muff. Any info would be much appreciated!

Haven't seen that fuzz unit, but I have that ZB volume pedal under my steel. Been using it since'76...and LOVE it. I've never seen another one anywhere.

Mike.

My wife has my old ZB volume pedal. I learned about it from Tom Brumley. It's still his favorite volume pedal, and he uses it every time I see him play. For those who've never seen one, it's a neat pedal in that it's pretty low profile and has a very long pedal travel (throw). It uses the rack/pinion gear type mechanism like a wah-wah pedal, but the geometry allows for a very long throw, unlike a cry-baby pedal.

Brad, mine is as you describe...except it has a string setup, no rack. Interesting!?!?!

I'll take a couple pics and put 'em in a new post.

Sorry to distract from the topic, guys.
