Got my FSK yesterday. Only had time to try it at home, but I like it. Has the Fender sound (though not the tube sound) and is LOUD.

By the way, it retails for 1700 USD in Norway (I traded it for a 66 D6 Stringmaster and a little cash).

Can't wait to try it on stage...

Hej Tore,

I'm happy to hear that you're satisfied with the Steel King. I've had mine for two months now and it seem to sound better every time I play it (probably due to speaker break-in and my increased understanding of the controls).

Btw, I really appreciated your playing at the Seljord festival this summer. Your work with Malin Pettersen was particularly impressive. That Emmons sounded great!

I'm a little puzzled, I've played mine at a couple of shows and everyone likes the way it sounds, and I read how popular it is, but so far mine is the only one I've seen at a show or gig. I've been playing my N-112 on the job because it's lighter and everything is run through the system so I don't need the extra power. (The N-112 sounds great too). Why Don't I see more FSKs? I love mine.

I have never tried one, I use my MusicMan HD 130's with Altec Lansing speakers and find it to be the best of anything I have ever used both past and present.

Hi Tore,
Nice to see that you have chosen the Steelking Smile
I've had mine for half a year now, and I love it. Lars Egil Vågseter tried mine for a studio gig... and now he's got a FSK too.
P.S. Vestnorsk Steelgitarklubb will have a meeting in Ørsta 8.-10. Sept. You are most welcome to join us :-)

Kind regards,
Geir Arne Boska
