old reverb 'unit' from Sunn amp, what now?

Post by Carter York »

I had an old Sunn 112R that "passed on" recently, and I salvaged the reverb unit from the inside. It has the sticker saying it was manufactured by "the beautiful girls.." or something like that. A little aluminum kinda tray with a long spring, and two RCA jacks, etc.

Is there anything (simple) I can craft from that? Like some sort of lo-fi reverb box/unit?

Other than a trash can liner, of course!

Thanks,
Carter

It's probably a chip driven tank as opposed to a transformer driven tank like you would find in a Fender.

I was just joking you! Image

The big Dallas guitar show is coming up in a few weeks. I would probably try to trade it for something I could really use. There are probably some Sunn amp guys out there somewhere that would pay good $$$ for one of those. Not many of them floating around I would guess.
