I think it's strictly a bedroom practice or "play in church" amp. It's very small, and inexpensive, but wouldn't do much at a real gig with other electric instruments. I'd recommend a used TNT (they often go for about $250). The TKO is a decent bass amp, too, but it'll cost almost $400.

The Microbass is an entry level amp. I recommend an amp such as the new Peavey MAX 110, MAX 112, MAX 115, TKO 115 or Basic 112. Here's the link to these amplifiers;

I invite you visit with your Peavey dealer and check these amps out. Here is our dealer locator; http://www.peavey.com/support/dealerlocator/

Or if you have further questions, please feel free to call me here at the factory and I will be glad to assist you. I can be reached toll free at 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1180.

I used a Peavey Minx Bass and Basic 60 for some time . I'm still kicking myself for sellling my Peavey Mark III Bass head . Really nice little amps and a great value. Having said that I prefer my entry level SWR LA series LA 8 for a small combo .
