I had posted this same question before, not realizing there were more than one Express 112 model. I bought this as an alternative to lugging my Twin Reverb around, as I wanted a lightweight steel and amp. My 2 lightweight steels both have George L pickups wired straight with no tone or volume controls. I also have a DOD equilizer. My problem is I know nothing whatever about Electronics. I like a nice bass and mellow tone, with no shrill treble tone. Would you advise me as to the possibility of this tone with the above. I am able to get this sound straight into my Twins. I know this is a dumb question, but what would expect from a dummy!
Thanks in advance,
Jay Y.

Jay, first of all thanks for purchasing a Peavey products. The Express model will work for your application. However, the Nashville 112 would have been the best choice for steel guitar applications as the mid/shift type of equalization allows for better tone control for a steel guitar. If you need assistance with the Express, please feel free to call me toll free here at Peavey and I will be glad to assist. I can be reached at 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1180.
