The Peavey Scorpion replacement baskets are available. The item number for ordering is #00013860 and you may order it through your local authorized Peavey dealer or through our Parts Department here at the factory by calling (601)483-5365.
There is a big difference between the Scorpion and the Black Widow. There were several reasons why the Scorpion Series was created, but the main reason was because there was a market void at the time, so we introduced our Scorpion Series. Also, it was a bit of overkill to install a 350 watt BW into a Combo 300 or TNT instrument amplifier. We have never manufactured a "1204", but I highly recommend our Black Widow 1501-4 ohm shallow basket speaker(#00027020).

Now I'm confused again. Mike, I bought a couple of 1201's that appear to have kevlar cones and domes and there was a thread where I mentioned that I had expected the 1201 to be the 12" counterpart of the 1501 and I didn't like the sound of the kevlar. Someone replied that I wanted to get the paper cones and that was the 1204. I didn't have the presence of mind to check to see if a 1204 actually existed.

A Black Widow 1204 does not exist. When we manufactured the now defunct Nashville 112E speaker cabinets, we used the BW 1203-4 ohm speakers. The item number for these are #96000038.
