I have 2 GP-100 preamp processors and really like them. One I use for a processor only and shut the preamp off while the other I use with the preamp and a Mesa Boogie 50/50 power amp.
I have become very familiar with programming this unit on fly but I prefer to not use the stereo formats very much except for the ping pong vibrato a little bit. The plate reverbs are sweet and the echo is quite nice.

| I haven't used mine much for steel tones, although for distorted lap style stuff it's amazing. With fifteen different guitar amps in the studio we keep going back to the GP-100 for recording guitar, sounds so great! |

I have 2 complete steel rigs. 1 for leaving at the club and 1 for sessions or spot jobs. I have a Roland GP-100 for each. I use it exclusively in the studio. I often wonder what I'll do if one or both of these units ever go out on me. I'll be LOST!

I double on guitar/steel and after finding the "Geep" 4 years ago, my lust for the perfect sound is gone. I play in stereo into an older session 400 and a large cab Evans. It is extremely flexible, has 2 sets of stereo outs, sounds great going to the board and on and on. If you play guitar, the matching fc-200 is a must have, probably the most comprehensive floor controller ever made.
Did I say I love my Geep? Oh yeah
