I met Randy a few years ago, in St. Louis, a few years after his minor(or regional-it didn't get much air play in the Peoria area, but then again, what does?) hit "Sometimes I Talk In My Sleep" and he had done some fantastic work on Lead Guitar, and back-up vocals on two Kenny Dale albums I have.
In Dallas I picked up his "Limited Edition Collection" Vol. 3, and let me tell you, it is somethin' ELSE!
I love the Gatlins, but you ain't heard "Bitter They Are" 'til you've heard Randy do it!
What a voice! My suggestion is buy ANYTHING you can get by this man-he is fan-freakin'-tastic!!!
A fan?-You betcha!

Dean you are right on! Randy Corner is a tremendous guitarist and vocalist. His mid 1970's ABC lp is still one of my all time favorites, bar none. Very soulful and great vocal and guitar chops. |

Randy Corner is one of a kind. A class act and an American Original. They just don't come any better than Randy. Jody. |

Amen to that "Fiddlin' Frenchie Burke" stuff he did. I have that LP with "Big Mamou" and all that good up tempo stuff. Randy was/is one fine guitarist/vocalist. I love the solo he did on Frenchie's version of "Orange Blossom Special". One helluva picker in my opinion.....JH in Va.
