Hi Everybody-
I just re-strung a couple of my steels that hadn't been played in awhile and got to wondering about the dates of manufacture. If you know the dates or can direct me to a good source of information I'd be much obliged. The steels and serial numbers are:
National Dynamic #X36783
Supro Doubleneck (double 6) #X45147
Oahu Tonemaster #T571
Oahu Diana #2166
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Ed

Supro Doubleneck (double 6) #X45147 = 1955
Oahu Tonemaster #T571 = 1958
Oahu Diana #2166 = ???

Hi Brad-
thanks a lot for your speedy reply. The Diana's serial number kinda threw me, too, but there it is, stamped into the headstock.
Yes, I really love all the steels and am always looking for more. They all have unique personalities and I don't think I could stand to be without any of 'em.
Thanks again for your help.
Cheers,
Ed
