I Love This Bar

Post by Kevin Chriss »

Has anyone tabbed Toby Keith's I Love this Bar? If I could just get the first lick it would help a lot. Thanks

Kevin,

You can find the lyrics and chord progression of that song at the COWPIE song corral (SEE LINK BELOW). Several people have their versions there, some better than others.

The little hook in the middle of the song goes from Bm to D and I get it at the 10th fret using the A pedal. I'm not playing it exactly like the record though.

Here's what I'm playing on the solo. Not promising that it's right, but it sounds pretty close.

Thanks a bunch Sonny, Your a life saver. I've been beating my head against this song for days now. I just started playing steel in a band and I didn't want them to think I was a total loss. Thanks Again

Just got round to looking at this one - so much stuff to go through!

The tab seems correct but surely it is done with strings 1 & 2 not 1 and 4. Paul has the 1/2 tone raise on string 2 and whole tone raise on string 1 on the same knee lever.
