Jay McDonald does a great solo on this old Buck Owens tune,does any one have the tab? Thanks in advance,John

I think it's Tom Brumley on that one, unless Buck also recorded it pre-Brumley.

Good luck on that John. The liner credits go to Tom Brumley on that one. That one of course is the one that was the hit. Are you looking for that version? The song was written in 1964, which made it post- MacDonald. Buck wrote it driving from Madison, Wisconsin to Chicago to catch a plane.

It was recorded live at Austin City Limits in 1988 with Jay McDonald on steel,and the solo is a monster!!

If you want to hear "Cryin' Time", like it's supposed to be played, DON'T MISS Curly Chalkers version. Don't know whose version you have liked, but you'll forget it when you hear 'ol Curly. It's on Big Hits on Big Steel, album.
