brisco bud 3x4 - fair price?

Post by Troy Denton »

Hello all, I'm new to the pedal steel and forums. I've found what may be a good beginner pedal steel for myself, and I'm hoping to get an experienced opinion.

A local seller has a brisco bud 3x4 (E9 configuration) listed for 1975 CAD (About 1400 USD at todays rate). They are the first owner and it's a few years old. From the photos and the seller's rating, I believe it's been kept in good condition.

I'm having trouble finding datapoints for used prices (or even new prices) for this model - hoping that someone familiar with the brand can chime in. Is this is a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance!

If it's in good condition and has no mechanical problems then that's a good price.

Hi Troy, I tried 1 that a buddy of mine has and they're a fine steel. Good tuning & solid to play. Al Brisco developed and built these and he does everything top notch. I agree with Brad, if it's mechanically sound, it's worth every bit of that.

Thank you both for the feedback - It looks like it had already been sold, so the hunt continues!
