Curtain Call in Ab?

Post by Pete Martin »

I just got the Billy Gray Dance-O-Rama #7 recording. Bobby Koefer plays terrific stuff on this and I love the record. Listening to Curtain Call, the recording is in Ab. The recording doesn't sound speed up or slowed down to my ear. Is it really in Ab?

I play a lot of jazz standards in multiple flat keys, so I'm not averse to playing in any key, just want to learn it where it is standard.

Thanks!

Tom Morrell and the Time Warp Top Hands played it in Ab. I think Bob Wills did it in C.
