NEW Peavey Nashville/Session Amp coming soon

Post by Bill Ferguson »

I have just been released to show the new Peavey Nashville-Session 112 or 115 amp.
Production is tenatively scheduled for June 2025.

I am receiving my Prototype 112 today and will report soon.

This is a 200w (digital) amp that is switchable to have the traditional Nashville preamp or the traditional Session preamp.
The pots will be of a much higher quality that previously used in Peavey Amps.
The reverb is digital, custom designed for this amp and is switchable for Plate or Spring.
The 115 is a Celestion Neo designed for this amp.
The 112 is a Celestion designed for this amp.

I have been testing the speakers for almost a year and they are both a WINNER.
AS SOON AS THE SPEC SHEET IS AVAILABLE I WILL POST IT HERE.

I know yall want to know this info:
Weight: 115 25.7 pounds 112 26.4 pounds

Price: Nashville-Session 115 MAP $1499 Nashville-Session 112 Map $1299

Soon I will be taking pre-orders (waiting list) once I get a better feel for how many will be produced in the early batch's and how often Peavey will make a batch.
PLEASE DON'T SEND PRE-ORDERS NOW.
I will have my prototype 112 at the GaSGA show on Feb. 2, 2025 AND
PEAVEY WILL BE AT THE TEXAS SHOW WITH A ROOM FOR YOU TO TEST DRIVE THIS NEW AMP AND SOME OTHER NEW PRODUCTS.
I will have my steel set up in the Peavey room, so come on down.

Interesting indeed! Bill, do you know if there will be 240V European versions?

That's a great piece of news. I'm glad Peavey is back to the steel guitar industry with several new products.

Per,
Update on Euro version.

The AC input on this amp will accept 110V - 240V by just using a different AC cable.
Meaning, there does not have to be 2 versions of the amp.

This is great for players that travel and have to plug into different voltages. Just take 2 different cables.

Bill, it’s good to see Peavey being more active again. In the last few years it has felt like they were going by the way side.

These operate from 100-240VAC with an IEC line cord.

Don't want to get ahead of Bill's info since it's his announcement but more info can be found on Peavey's website.

Thanks Jerry,
The only thing about that flyer is the pictures are not accurate.
They are mockups.

Obviously, the 115 is taller than the 112 and the width is the same on both.

Not when you check the price of other steel amps- 3 to 4 thousand.

Peavey has always given bang for buck.

can't wait to here more about these amps as they roll them out to players. I have been wanting to go back to a 15 inch speaker, but the old ones are just too heavy to lug around anymore.

I hope they will use the early 80's type grille cloth. The cloth on the amp pictured never appealed to me at all.

Other than that it looks to be a very good effort!

I never expected to see another dedicated steel amp from Peavey, but here we have these two new combo amps plus the Session 400 / LTD preamp. A powered head only version of this new Session / Nashville amp might be a good product too.

The price does not seem high at all compared to other offerings. The days of new professional quality $600 amps have been gone for a long time. I sure hope they can sell enough of them to justify production.

Thanks Peavey!!

Great news--I've been using Peavey amps for a very long time.

I hope that the new amps do not have the ridiculous cut-out on the front above the control knobs (as do the N112 amps) that make the knobs so vulnerable to being broken that we had to install "knob-guards" on the amps.

I also hope that all of the control potentiometers have an access hole for squirting in a cleaner like De Oxit, unlike the N112 amps in which a critical pot is totally sealed.

Dave, the"cutout"is gone...the cab is built like the old LTD,but much lighter...

I am told that the pots are much better than the ones they've used in recent years...whether that means they have an access hole,I don't know.

Also, remember the price of the original Session 400 in 1974 was $679.95...

Adjusted for inflation, that comes out to(wait for it)...

$4271...that's in 2023 dollars(that's as recent as my inflation calculator goes to).

I'm loving this amp!

Just some updates.

See my previous edited post about a Euro version.

And no, there is no cutaway at the top.

And no, this is NOT your typical Peavey Amp. The parts in this amp are all of the highest quality inc., but not limited to, metal shaft pots, circuit boards soldered through (ie, no cold solder joints), FET's up front and etc.

Many players used the prototypes I took to Dallas and EVERY single one said "WOW". This is the finest steel amp I have ever played through.
You can hear some of the players on FaceBook postings.

Hello Bill ,
The new Peavey amps sounded great on the Main Stage at the TSGA Jamboree. I noticed almost all of the players used the Peavey amps. I wanted to see if anyone kept a log as to which players used the 12” , and which ones used the 15”. They both sounded really good in the Peavey room when you did a side by side comparison.
Thanks for all you do for the steel guitar world.
