Goodrich VP: no output on second out put jack

Looks like both of my Goodrich pedals are having problems were I get no signal from the second output jack. Weird that it would happen to both of them. Any thoughts?

A lot of players don't use or need the second ouput so they have converted it to be a tuner out. If there is a resistor in the wiring of the second output, then that's probably the reason.

Does the tuner work with the first jack? It's a far fetched coincident that both would die at the same time, or at all. If it's a passive pedal, it's only a pot, wires and jacks in there.

Yes, works fine in the first jack, not in the second. Weird.

Something has come disconnected. Buy a cheapo ohm meter and debug. The connection to the center tap of the pot to the normal jack should be zero ohms. The connection from the center tap to the secondary jack is made via a resistor and it should measure some value below 500k. If it measures infinite, there's your problem. Inspect for disconnected wire or lead. Resolder or replace the resistor as it may have gone open. IT should not read infinite.
