New song up on YouTube.
This is a new song I’m putting out there. 'Arabian Jazz' is an instrumental I wrote in 1964 when I was in my first band at 11 years old. The band was called "The Invaders". A close friend, that later played in the band, was Rick Williams. A couple of years ago he asked me if I remembered the old song that I had written called, 'Arabian Jazz'. I hadn't thought of it in years, but it came right back to me...Music is funny that way! I went into my studio and built this track, adding a little steel (just because), even though I didn't play steel back then. Like most of my music, it’s a little different…. It will be on all the streaming sites in a few days. The video features old Polaroid photos that my mother took of the band back then, they are pretty worn, it’s only been sixty years!!! Hit the “More” button when you get to YouTube and you can read the rest of the story. Thanks for checking it out!

This is really great ... EVERY aspect of it, and entertaining too.

Really enjoyed that Wally, as usual all of your songs are well produced catchy and the video is great!.
Was wondering, do you still have your cool tie, I want one!

Cool, pretty good for an 11 year old. Sounded like Arabian Surf to me

Very cool, Wally. It reminded me of my rock band days back in that same era. We played some Ventures tunes, surf music, Beatles, etc. Was that a Harmony H-17 (Strat copy) I saw in an early shot in the video? I had a red one back in the day...

Thank you, it was a fun project!! The guitar is a Fender Duo Sonic II.. Basically the same guitar as the Fender Mustang without the Tremelo. I added one after my dad gave it to me.. On the recording I’m playing a 57 strat that a good friend left me when he passed, great instrument!! I had the Duo Sonic until the mid 80’s when our house was broken into and it was stolen.. It’s hard to believe that it’s now been sixty years now..

I really enjoyed that song! It takes me back to the late 60s as a 12 yo kid trying to play the hits of the day, unfortunately I don’t have any pictures lt is a blessing you do!

Cool tune Wally. Has that surf vibe that drew me into guitar playing in the 60s with the Ventures.
