He looks and sounds great,[love his little blue Carter!] and PPL is wonderful, sound as good as they did in the old days.. Band guys, would you not love to have a drummer that sings like this guy?.. If these vids have already been posted, my apologies, but I haven't seen them here so figured it might be something PPL fans would enjoy... bob

Glad to see he's performing these days.
He's the only pro I've seen do this, but at least on fly dates, he sits on his road case that has something under it so it's the right height.
John caught my attention on "I'll fix your flat tire, Merle." Love that style in the solo. A flurry of fast, blocked notes -- and it's actually hot in the mix.

Yeah, they have a recent album out titled Back on Track. The earlier works such as Two Lane Highway are my favorites, but it's nice to see the band is still going.
Hadn't heard JD Call is no longer with them but that is him on the recording. Thanks Ron.

I heard John is having surgery on his hand. That is the reason he is not with the band right now. He did play on the new album which is great.

The drummer is Scott Thompson from Mount Vernon, Kentucky originally. I believe he lives in Nashville now. He is the son of Glenn Thompson whom I worked with at Renfro Valley, Kentucky for 12 years. He is a fantastic guitarist. Scott is not only a great vocalist but a great drummer and a great guy!!! Talent runs in the family. Thanks for posting these videos. Its good to see him again.
