I just purchased a Nashville 400 with a BW. It has a sticker on the back that states Modified & Restored by John Lemay miracle-audio.com.
I would like to know exactly what this mod did to the amp. I know, revoiced it to have better low end, but what did the mod consist of? New opamps, caps? I tried to email him and it got returned undelivered. Does anyone have the instructions from one of his kits? BTW sn 05590332.

Thanks
David

If it's a mod that John did at his shop, there are probably no instructions. All I recall from him on the one I sent to him back in the 90s, was a few suggestions on the amp controls but nothing that couldn't be figured out by the user.

Concerning the components, probably all the things you mentioned were changed. John obscured the markings on the opamps and chips to be unreadable and would not disclose what his mods included.

He did offer DIY kits later on, but I have no knowledge on what was included there.

I'm not sure if John is still with us. A few people have tried to contact him without any success.

Last I knew he had moved to Nebraska but that was several years ago.

Thanks Jerry, It seems that all the knowledge of these things is passing away with time.

I bought and installed the Lemay mod on my Nashville 400, I’m sure it’s over 25 maybe 30 years ago… still using the amp… Very Happy works and sounds great…… here are a pixs of the kit, ( I still have it, these are the old original parts)

The sheet is too large for my scanner but the pix is clear enough to enlarge.
You could also download the pix and print. If you need me to I can send the pix via email Smile

Gordy, I can see the schematic with no problem. Was there any text instructions in the document?
