Chris,
I saw Buddy several times during the toy box phase, or around the time of the One for the Road album. At the time he was using a Korg X – 911 for horn and flute sounds. It was in his little briefcase with all the other guitar pedals. He had an old Emmons volume pedal that had a switch on the side which changed the function… The pedal all the way down was straight steel guitar, all the way up was the signal from the Korg, in the center was a mix. I saw him trade fours with himself, Laughing to himself, and just shaking his head back-and-forth. Not sure about this particular recording but if it’s around that time, It’s a pretty good chance that’s what’s going on.

Jack, is this the one you told me about that Buddy was copying your licks? I can hear them.

Ronnie,
Glad to see time has not diminished your razor like wit.
Buddy taught me pretty much everything I know...unfortunately, he didn't teach me everything HE knew.
