New Pedal steel LIVE album

Post by Alex Cattaneo »

Hi friends,

Today marks the release of my new album of original pedal steel music, which was entirely recorded live in concert. The album is titled "CONCERTS 2023/24"

This being Bandcamp Friday, all sums are given back to the artists, with no commission, so it's a great day to get some new pedal steel music. I've posted a few clips of our live performances, and as the band got better and better, I ended up with more than enough material for an album.

It's been a really great year for me, playing many shows with my band, which is quite a feat considering how unique and unusual our music is, and opening for Daniel Lanois in April. Anyhow, I think those of you who are interested in hearing the pedal steel outside of the country idiom will enjoy this album.

And here's a video of one of the performances on the album. The piece is called Culture Vulture.

Thanks, Alex, I was indeed looking around at your releases.
Do you utilize any pedal steel on 18.015g/mol?
Fascinating soundscapes, regardless.

No pedal steel on 18.015g/mol, that particular album is a soundtrack for contemporary dance show that was commissioned by a choreographer. Really cool project. I think I tried to add some steel in one of the tracks but it got vetoed out, hahaha!
