“Unforgettable”, the Nat Cole classic

Post by Mike Neer »

I’ve sung this song a thousand times in a past life and never imagined I would willingly play it, but a great song is a great song (of course made better by Nelson Riddle’s arranging). I stuck pretty close to that.

Played live through a Tonex with a Standel capture by Joe Rogers and through a QSC powered speaker CP8 mic’s with an AKG 414. C6 tuning. I also played uke, bass and 2nd steel guitar.

That was GREAT Mike ... I had a big smile through the whole thing. That was some fancy bar work you were doing. My arthritic thumbs would be hard pressed to do that and I'd probably end up with bar dings a plenty from the number of times I'd loose it.

That was terrific, Mike! Great intonation, even with all those slants.

You've made me want to tackle the tune (cheating, of course, with pedals on C6).

Thanks for sharing - great stuff.
