Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family ... BTW, I have a "Niece-in-Law" from NZJim Mckay wrote:lovely easy listening music.
Best wishes Dale, for Xmas and New year for you and your family.
Keep them coming.
Thank you Fred ... There are SO MANY Chords and Voicing's that neck that I may never remember them all ... I'm constantly breaking out my calculator to figure out what on earth I'm playing.Fred Treece wrote:Great job, Dale! It is a fun and easy listen, but the choices you made for chord voicings make it an interesting one too.

Re: I'll be home...
Thank you John ... Being a "Hunter & a Pecker" I don't use tab ... actually one of the reasons I do the Video thing is to help jog my memory and help give others who may be interested at least a bit of a visual reference. Manly on the overhead shots ... you can easily see the pedals used and the frets to at least get you in the ball park.John D. Valiante wrote:Dale, do you have a tab for that on C6? If you're stuck on a certain thing, please PM me and I'll try to help.

Re: Thx Dale
I did use 56&7 together but just the one time in the Accapela part near or at the end of it. I new what chord it was, but forget now ... 5&7 alone would be a 13, but not sure what adding the 6th pedal does to it.John D. Thanks Fred ... I have SUCH a time trying to keep all that stuff straight in my head. I'm getting better at it generally, but not at a very deep level yet. I was looking at my "Jazz Theory for Pedal Steel Guitar" book last night (yes I actually study this stuff LOL) and looking at some of Daniels charts, and on ONE fret using the SAME string groupings, DEPENDING on which string you're using as the root, those groupings could be a half dozen different chords. That is a real hang up for me as I'm trying to find the "exact" chord by its name, and it just doesn't matter, cause you can call it a half dozen things and its still gonna sound the same, and they all reside right under your hand. Its a huge stumbling block for me.Fred Treece wrote:Your P5-6-7 chord at the end of the intro is a 13b9 voicing with the 13th on top and the b9 in the middle somewhere. It’s the V dominant of whatever key you’re in (A?).

Exactly right, Dale. The rootless 9th chord, for example, can be used 4 ways that I know of, and take on a different name for each purpose. If you’re playing jazz on E9, the easy access to a couple of different 9th and 13th chord voicings is maybe the only advantage that neck has over C6.looking at some of Daniels charts, and on ONE fret using the SAME string groupings, DEPENDING on which string you're using as the root, those groupings could be a half dozen different chords.
