Video Recordings of JayDee Maness and Greg Leisz seminars
On the weekend of August 24 and 25 of this year I held a seminar at Steel Guitars of North County featuring 2 of the best in the business- JayDee Maness and Greg Leisz. It is unlikely that you will ever have this kind of access to these 2 marvelous players again. Jay Dee's emphasis was on the use of chromatic strings and Greg's was on lap steel tunings and applications. These seminars were recorded and edited with the grateful help of Richard Harris and are now available for purchase for $25/seminar($25 total for JayDee's 3 part presentation and $25 total for Greg's 3 part presentation). There are 3 parts for each day and span several hours each. They are distributed via We Transfer to the recipient via email and are roughly 10-12 gigs each seminar so be sure you have enough space on your computer. Payment can be done via Paypal or Venmo to stlgitr@gmail.com or call the shop w a cc# or send a check, rolls of pennies, etc. and please be sure to include your email address.

Is Greg's seminar solely focused on lap steel or does he teach any pedal steel in the seminar?
Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous; praise is meet for the upright. Give praise to the Lord with the harp, chant unto Him with the ten-stringed psaltery. Sing unto Him a new song, chant well unto Him with jubilation. For the word of the Lord is true, and all His works are in faithfulness. The Lord loveth mercy and judgement; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

Thanks for the links, Jim. I've got everything downloaded but I haven't had a chance to look at anything yet.
Years ago I was involved with a large remote recording project that shared files on We Transfer. I had some issues & problems. So I was a little worried.
But that was then, this is now.
Anybody wondering, you send Jim the $$, he sends you the link or links, you click on that in the email, it takes you to the download and you click 'download'. No registering, no signing up.
I was sort of amused with the memory of my first computer, a Gateway Win95 machine, and how I laughed at the idea of ever needing a bigger drive than whatever it had...I forget how many dozen MB.
Anyway, I just downloaded 20 something GB.

I have the Jay Dee videos.
Extremely high quality visuals, and Jay Dee is very forthcoming as he fields questions from those actually present. Lots of anecdotes and, more importantly, he demonstrates those unique chromatic approach lines that set him apart from everyone.
Well worth it!! I'll be watching these again.
Thanks, Jim, thanks, Jay Dee.
Jim emphasized that Greg's sessions were strictly non-pedal, so I passed on those. (It's probably my loss...)
