Does anyone know this guy? Mack Sullivan

Post by Tor Arve Baroy »

I was reading in a book about the Norwegian settlement in Brooklyn in the 50ies and 60ies, my parents lived the in that aera.

And, I spotted a Steelguitar

The sign on the wall reads: ..and his Western swing band.
And the Fender steel reads: Mack Sullivan. Dont know if thats the band leader or the Steel player.

Anyone here knows maybe?

Mack played straight steel, violin and regular guitar. He was the band leader and owned a few bars in New Jersey through the years. The Rainbow Inn in Carlstadt, was popular in the 60's and 70's. Eddie Rabbit was a regular there. Later in the 80's he opened The Palomino Club near Paterson.
