Any steel in D/FW- Arlington/Metroplex on Thurs, 9/19?

Post by Jim Cohen »

I'll be in Arlington to play a show at the Arlington Music Hall on Fri., 9/20 but we have the prior evening free. Anyone playing around the area on Thurs, 9/19? If not, where else do you recommend going for some great music? FWIW, I checked the Stockyards and they seem to have wrestling that night rather than any music.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Jim, Chirs Gordon is playing at the White Elephant on the 19th, and he usually has a steel in his band. Landon Dodd has a weekly gig at the Longhorn Saloon. I think they are on Wednesdays. Sorry, I could not find anything else. Pearls used to have nightly live music, but I could not find a calendar. Also, check this site for the entire DFW metroplex. https://www.bandsintown.com/c/dallas-tx ... re/country

Jim was kind enough to offer me tickets, in the second row no less. Listening to the Ronstadt Revue was an amazing experience, and I would higly recommend seeing the show if it comes to your area. The band members are masterful musicians and hearing Jim on pedal steel and guitar was a treat. Gesenia is one of the best vocalists I've ever heard.

Hey, Paul. Thanks so much for the nice words. I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Was great to meet you. Hope you don't mind me sharing the photo we took together.

Take care and hope to see you next time we come through Arlington.

Best,
Jim
