Yeah Dave I understand, and I am glad Dean is fine with it changing from the way he and Linda wrote it; and getting more pay from it; that's good for them; but I still think its Disrespectful to the aspects of the MUSIC side of it.It doesn't seem to me that Dean Dillon had any problems with Stapleton’s version. I’m sure he didn’t mind getting those additional royalty checks, either.
Glenn NAILED It with the Etta James song cut in 1968; Chris should of respectfully Cut that song from Etta; as it is exactly what he did with Tennessee Whiskey(same blues progression and bluesy singing.
