I think the only difference between the Pro II and the Pro III is that the Pro III has a metal neck.
I'm not sure about the pot metal deal.

I think the only difference between the Pro II and the Pro III is that the Pro III has a metal neck.
....and a different Changer finger Mounting and different changer bracket system underneath.; All that is a difference in the sound between II and III.

Erv; Pro II came out late '72-1973ish; then the Pro II Custom '75ish and was built till ShoBud closed mid 80's; but all shobud's no matter the model got "pot metal" underneath system when Super Pro came out 1978.
