I'm pretty sure Wayne played Bill Hankey's, Mass Bash in the late 80's. I was super impressed.

I see him on Sue Kings Facebook page demonstration of pedal steels at Johnny Kings shop. Great player. That's a Nashville location.

Wayne is/was with Martina McBride’s band. I’m not sure if he’s still on the road with her or not. He’s one heck of a player.

Was ... I believe still playing locally around Nashville. Doing interior house painting and still setting up guitars. Set one up for me a couple years ago and improved it greatly. Incredible player.

Yeah Like Dale said. Wayne is not with Martina any more; but listen to the beauty of his playing from that time>

Ditto on what Dale said. I spoke to Wayne a month or so ago as he setup one of my steels. He said he enjoyed painting houses and staying close to home and was not touring anymore.

He's in the top echelon, especially his imaginative E9th playing.

Anytime I see he's demo'ed a steel For Johnie King, I'll always take the time to listen to him. I'm never disappointed.

Wayne was in Martina's band in the nineties and into the 2000s, but lately, Kyle Everson has been playing a Franklin steel in her band. Wayne played Emmons guitars with Martina.

Wayne moved to Texas for a while after he left Martina, and I was fortunate enough to meet him and hang a bit. Great guy, and easily one of the best players around. He's on Facebook from time to time, and posted a live video of some folks he was playing with few weeks ago. He's killing 'Look at Us' with a great band. For you folks that do FB, treat yourself..
