There have been multiple, well-deserved threads testifying to the impact of instruction by several forum members, dead and alive. I come today to praise the forgotten Herb Steiner.
I bought every piece of instruction I could get from Herb. Dobro, E9, C6, the whole nine yards. Well thought out arrangements, with a few tricks buried in every one.
Not sure anyone else should shoulder the blame for this, so I'll say it: Herb made me the player I am today, darn him.
Not sure how much of his stuff is still available, so with any luck this will start a run on used copies so I can sell my spares and he can eBay off "bootlegs."
Thanks, Herb.
But you jammed out and never published the C6 Standards!
Herby was pretty special too.
An Unsung Hero
