I bought one of these for my first dobro. I later got a Regal Black Lightning because I liked the ones I had played in a local store. Side-by-side the PBSM beat the Regal hands down IMO. I got rid of the Regal and can't part with the PBSM even though I only play 8-strings now. FWIW I think the PBSM also decisively beats any non-solid-wood Goldtone I've played.
