FENDER DELUXE-8 (Stringmaster Style) — sold pending payment

Post by Adam Nero »

Bought this off the forum last February. Then realized I haven’t played a show in years, life having taken me in other directions, and it was starting to feel like I was hoarding beautiful collectibles that would inspire more joy elsewhere. So I’m releasing this back into the world.

It’s in amazing condition. I don’t know if I’ve ever even seen pictures of a cleaner example of this highly sought after instrument. Only thing I notice is it looks like the split shaft pot on the blend wheel knob is broken. I usually just set and forget that with the bridge cover plate on top. Guitar works and sounds great. If you have more specific questions please send them to me via pm.

Although not pictured I have the bridge cover plate

$1600 plus shipping.

2 cheap dobros, several weird old lap steels, and one lifelong ticket to ride on the pedal steel struggle bus.

Bump another new price. May decide soon to keep it.

Post by Tommy Auldridge »

Adam: Is that a 24 1/2 inch scale? If it is, that's what I want. Thanks, Tommy.....

I think it looks like 22 1/2" scale, but I might be wrong.

Fender 8 string

Thanks Dan. I just agreed to buy it. Even though it's a 22.5 but I wasn't aware that Fender didn't make it in a 24.5 Thanks, Tommy.....

FYI: On a "Stringmaster style" Fender, you can determine scale length by looking at the fret markers.
-----------------------------------------

2 "dots" past the 24th fret = 22 1/2" scale

3 "dots" past the 24th fret = 24 1/2" scale

4 "dots" past the 24th fret = 26" scale
