Post by James McGee »

Martin 5-17T tenor guitar, 1928, VG condition."CF Martin" stamped on back of headstock. Repaired crack on treble side. Exceptionally fine bell-like sound and penetrating volume. Number on neck block, possibly the serial number, is 35301. Received a neck set and new fingerboard in 2007 from renowned luthier and Martin specialist and former Martin employee Frank Finnochio. As an original first-generation tenor guitar, it has the original Grover banjo-style tuners and an original finish with a distinguished patina. With recent pickguard, non-original hardshell case carefully padded to fit with a sweater. $2100 OBO
