UA Golden Reverberator

Post by Mitch Druckman »

Is anyone using the Universal Audio Golden Reverb pedal? What do you think? UA makes excellent plug-ins, but this is their first pedal.

Mitch,

Doug Young started a thread over on the Acoustic Guitar Forum that you may find useful:

Hope all is well,

I went and bought a Golden Reverberator pedal and I tried and tried, but could not get a reverb or a sound that I liked. It also changed the tone of the steel when I plugged it in, so I sent it back to Sweetwater.I'm a big fan of the Lexicon reverbs which is why I bought the pedal (it has a Lexicon 224 setting on it), but it just didn't do it for me. These days I use a Lexicon MPX550 rack mount, but when I fly, I use a Strymon Big Sky pedal which I also have a few issues with, but I like the reverb, and it doesn't suck the tone out of my steel.

I use the Golden Reverberator from UA. What I like about this effect is that you can determine when you "reverb" come in.

i’m using one. i love it. it replaced my strymon flint.

the springs are excellent, but the plates are heavenly. the only issue i have is that the reverbs sound so good that it is easy to use too much of them.

And the harder you hit the strings, the more reverb you get.
