For sale is a set of Certano String Benders. Excellent condition, briefly installed and like new.
On a lap steel in D tuning, they can be used to raise the treble A (2nd string) a whole step to B, and the F# (3rd string) a half step to G.
I found a good quality .018 plain steel 2nd and .026 wound 3rd work best.
Comes with all original hardware, including installation screws, etc. and paperwork. A fairly easy installation and there a few online installation videos.
Bender description below from the Certano site:
“My Benders are precision machined from aluminum, hand polished and assembled by me.The levers are laser cut stainless steel and carefully polished.
The rings are made of bronze and guarantee millions of smooth actions without special maintenance or lubrication.
You can adjust the height of the two levers to adapt them to your body type and play comfortably.
You can adjust the action of the levers
The strings do not break because they are pulled straight by the bender.”
Attached are two links to demos by Troy Brenninygmyer using these on a Recording King lap steel in Open D and C6.

Bill,
I know this works nicely on a lap steel.
I do think it would work on a tele also.
Certano lists these and doesn’t differentiate between benders as being different for a lap steel or telecaster to the best of my knowledge.
Benders are adjustable.
Installation is different on a tele because the saddles are lower.
Photo below is of this model set on an Asher but would work well on other model lap steels.
I installed them for my playing style but they could be mounted closer as Troy’s video demonstrates in the first attached video.
I got this idea from Troy Brenningmeyer who I zoom lessons with.
This sale is for the same style set he demonstrates on a lap steel in the first video.
