pedal screw for a GFI

Post by Danny Kuykendall »

Was wondering if anyone knows how to find a replacement screw for a GFI pedal? It is the screw that attaches the pedal rod to the actual pedal. I'm contacting GFI, but would like to find something on my own. Thanks for any input.

That is an unusual screw and I don't think it would be easy to find one elsewhere. I asked Bob at GFI about that part once, when I wanted to order one to have as a spare. I think he said it is a custom part. "Thumbscrew for pedal rod connector" is the description on the invoice. It was $5 in 2017, probably a little more now, but reasonable, considering.

I ordered a spare from GFI too, Before COVID shut our music down. Just to have a spare.

The screw has a shoulder that stops the screw from going to deep in the grove on the pedal pin, And allows the pin to rotate inside the pedal rod connector.
