I have several of the Harmony Hawaiians transcription disc on my YouTube channel. These all have Eddie Bush on steel with Mel Peterson and Danny Kuanna.

Here is a link to one of them. Click on my channel to find the others.

Just a thought about this thread.....It's was started in 2010 by George Keoki Lake. Remembering George now.

I have copies of George Lake's Harmony Isles tapes, but I don't have the means to convert them to digital.

I wonder if anyone here does, or has done this already?

It would be great if these were freely available. The only greater treasure is the Cumquat discography, including what, 5+ volumes of high quality Dick McIntire recordings? Sadly, I lost mine on a busted laptop a few years back, miss them dearly.

harmony isles radio shows

some time ago i came across this while searching for the harmony isle shows

https://www.vintagebroadcast.com/search/index/hawaiian

i already had these particular shows but most of the shows i had on mp3 had the highs cut off i guess to lessen the scratches & pops. but the 4 shows on the above site were not.

Levi Gemmell i can convert to digital. i'm sure Chris Clem can too.

Thank you all. I was glad when I saw George Keoki Lake's thread and I hope we can find answers. I have also contacted the University of Hawaii and even considered studying there online :O) If there is a way to digitize Levi (George)'s shows, we would make everyone here very happy. I also have the opportunity, but I think Berlin is too far away. Aloha, Marcus.

Aloha, I have digitized episodes 9, 10, 11, 12, 23, 24, 25, and 26 of the Harmony Isle Radio Show. It would be wonderful if we could collaborate to locate any missing episodes. Please contact me if someone out there possesses the other shows.

i have 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,21,22,23,24,25,26. i used the university of hawaii descriptions to guess which ones i had. could be wrong on some. i downloaded 9,10,21,22 from here

https://www.vintagebroadcast.com/search/index/hawaiian

i think they sound better than the ones i had.
some of them start halfway thru the theme or end before the outgoing theme.

wonder how many shows or what quality Levi Gemmell's tapes will be in?

Hi Keith Aiken, can I ask you about all the other shows? I really like to listen to your stuff. I could also send you my collection if you're interested.
Hi Levi Gemmel, I could digitize the shows. The only thing is sending them to Berlin, Germany, but I'll cover the costs. It shouldn't be a problem. Aloha, Marcus.
