I’m driving down from Moline, IL and would love to carpool with someone or share a room. I’m early 30’s guy with good hygiene and I pride myself on being an even, easy, fun travel partner

I have a car, but if you drive I’ll pay all of the gas

If you are going to cancel your room, please let me know. If you cancel it leaves the convention pricing and we have to pay full price.

I was late and didn't get a room in the Sheraton.

I'm interested in a room for the whole convention.

Thanks

This will be my first convention. Any advice on what to expect? I'm planning on bringing my steel and an amp - is that generally done? Are there jam sessions? Should I bring a bass for playing backup for others? Do people generally stay all day or do they come and go?

Ricky & Mike, I am not an authority on activities but the playing schedule is pretty well set. I'll give you a link to the TSGA website & you can see for yourselves what the weekend entails. Good luck & enjoy yourselves - I know I do!

Mike, Unfortunately there is no jam room per say. Some of the companies will have music in the rooms they have rented such as MSA, GFI and Mullen. Jeremy, you are so right. Thursday night is packed with some great pickers as well.

Charles Tilley runs the Thursday evening show. It starts at 6 PM and runs to midnight if I remember correctly. I have not seen a schedule but I know Casey Martin and Jeff Staggs are scheduled that night. There will be some fantastic pickers on Thursday evening.

Caladesi Guitars

Post by Dan Campbell »

Dan Campbell - I will be at the TSGS in Dallas all 4 days and looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I will be debuting my newly invented Stand-up Steel for people to see and try out. It is a lapsteel that is designed to be held by a strap so you can walk around with it. It is balanced in front on the player and had significant differences from any other guitar on the market. This guitar has been in the works for over 2 years and has just gotten a provisional patent. I will have a table near the sign in desk and I look forward to meeting you there. Dan
