Randall RSA 500 SOLD

Post by Dave Grafe »

With the pandemic in full swing I am downsizing from 2200 sq ft to 600, and it's crowded in here. Something has to give, so here's a sweet Randall Steel Man 500 (RSA500) Combo Amp for y'all. It's the last and nicest of several I have owned.

$450 takes it home. I do not want to ship this amp, but will gladly discuss delivery or a mid-point meet-up, please email me with any questions.

200 watts @ 4 ohns, 300 watts @ 2 ohms
Internal 4 Ohm JBL K130 15" Speaker
Accutronics Type 9 Long Decay Reverb Tank
Rear Panel Jacks: Effects In/Out, Line Out, Remote Reverb Control, Extension Speaker
Amp has an AC Circuit Breaker - No fuses involved
Removable back panels allow open, closed, or intermediate speaker cabinet as desired
Casters come with, but no cover

Just under 70 lbs

Photos show the real deal, removable back panels allow for various degrees of open back, or full closed back as shown. I like them with one smaller panel removed, you can see where the screws are not all the way in as I put it in place temporarily for photos.

Hello Dave, I am having my Randall RG300 redone with new caps and new power transistors Mike Cox works on them at A-string instruments.com also putting in a Neodymium 15" speaker to make it lighter.

These amps rarely if ever come on the market. I really knew nothing about them but purchased one about a year ago. It blows my mind how good this amp sounds, power beyond comprehension, and tailorable tone to kill. Not to offend, but I had a Webb in the past, and this amp is superior to my ear with dollars saved.

Not only is there EQ for the reverb independent of the instrument, but there is also a 5-band master Graphic EQ

These amps are like hens teeth, they rarely come up for sale, if ever. I have one, love it and it rivals a Webb.

Gosh I miss Murph so much. I used to maintain his Pedal Steels and restring/set up for which ever he wanted to play that week. Here's me playing his Unique finished Sho~bud by Dick Miller; he said I could play it anytime I wanted....I MISS YOU BIG JIM.
