Not a Valco expert by any stretch, but I would opine that's not a bad price if everything works. Especially with the brittle plastic pickup/bridge covers (and their fasteners) both intact.

MOT, "Mother of Toilet Seat" finish was only around for about five years due to the danger of fire the process would impose. I would think the value will only increase.
I have the single neck version - string through pick sounds great.

Valco did MOTS wraps for about twenty years. Maybe not on this model, but they had pearloid wraps from the early '40s to the early '60s.

But I agree that the price is reasonable. Not a steal, but reasonable.

I believe it's common to have to replace tuner buttons. And it has a functioning case! If it sounds good, then I'd say it's a fair deal.

Reason for asking, is that I sold an almost identical 1953 Supro to a gentleman in Puerto Rico many years ago, and thought this might be the same one.

I agree with everyone, that's a fair price. A double six would be cool to have, I've got a single six of that, a Comet, and it sounds great.
